The time is here!

Be among the first to dive into Smithton Wellbeing Indoor Recreation and Leisure centre this weekend.

The long awaited opening of Circular Head’s new pool is this Saturday.

Doors open at 8am when all ages will filter in with swimming togs and thongs on to check out the multi-million dollar development.

The facility includes a six-lane 25 metre pool, three-lane six by 12.5 metre program pool and aquatic play area as well as multipurpose program spaces.

A fun-filled day awaits for all with lap lanes open to those keen to get back into routine, the splash pool is the perfect spot for the littlies to dip in their toes and the new pool inflatable is bound to be a jolly good time.

Face painting will be available from 12 to 2pm and fitness classes at 1 and 2pm.

Guided tours of the facility will run throughout the day and be in with a chance to win a family membership.

Swirl will be open seven days a week from 6am to 8pm Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm on Saturdays and 9am to 5pm on Sundays.

The $12 million project has been jointly funded with $3.5M from the state government, a federal government contribution of $3.8M from the National Stronger Regions Fund and funding from Circular Head Council completing the remaining $4.7M.

Smithton Wellbeing Indoor Recreation and Leisure is open this Saturday (May 11) from 8am to 5pm for a gold coin donation from non-members.
