Community agencies back tracks push

Four relevant parties from Circular Head have penned a letter to state Premier Peter Gutwein regarding access and management of country in the region.

The letter, signed by Circular Head Mayor Daryl Quilliam, Circular Head Aboriginal Corporation Chairperson Selina Colgrave, Brumby Hill Aboriginal Corporation Chairperson Graeme Heald and Arthur Pieman Conservation Area Management Committee Chairperson Lauchland Avery, outlines some of the frustrations held by the community around land management.

Truth Telling is a great opportunity to share our combined culture, heritage and history with the broader community and to enact redress of historical events of our past. Unfortunately, we have been excluded from this opportunity in recent events based on the advice provided to the Circular Head community,” the letter reads.
