Stanley residents and visitors alike have welcomed the official opening of the Stanley recreational pontoon. The pontoon contains four berths, with each allowing vessels of a certain overall length, declared depth and displacement tonnage as well as other conditions of use. The official opening of the $1.5 million recreational pontoon has delivered a positive result for Stanley and the communities of the north west coast, TasPorts CEO Anthony Donald said.

Mr Donald said the pontoon project was the largest investment by TasPorts at the Port of Stanley since TasPorts’ amalgamation in 2006.
