The 2023 NWFL season is set to commence this weekend with the Saputo Circular Head Saints travelling to Penguin for the opening round. With only minor changes to the team list, coach Cameron Lockett is remaining optimistic for the season ahead.

“We’re in a far better position than what we were last year,” Lockett said.

Pre-season has been another level as well. We identified at the end of last year area’s that we needed to improve on as a group. We went through individual exit interviews on where players need to improve and we identified things that players needed to focus on for pre-season which started in October.
