Be Delighted at Beejules

Kafein Fix in Smithton has undergone a change of hands recently. Chef Belinda Taylor and barista Julie Casburn have partnered up and opened Beejules@Kafein Fix.

Belinda and Julie (Jules) are the faces behind Beejules Food and Coffee van. Purchased in September 2020, Belinda’s dream came to a halt after a change in council policy.

Not allowed to operate on public land, the pair have been catering at weddings and private events for the last six months.

“It was my dream for ten years to have a food van that gave me the freedom to cook for people my way,” Belinda said.

So when the opportunity came up to operate Kafein Fix on a day to day basis, Belinda and Jules jumped at the chance.

Since opening on March 9, the pair have been ‘run off their feet’ selling their food and coffee.  Renowned for her street-style food, Belinda has satisfied many appetites through working at the Stanley Hotel, Xanders Restaurant, Koppi Cafe and Hugo’s Brew and Chew.

Now in business with her sister, the pair are ready to do things their way.

“I like making food that is fresh and healthy, and colourful,” Belinda said.

“And I don’t want to make what everyone else has got.”

A unique fresh menu that changes daily, Beejules @ Kafein Fix is the ideal destination for when you need some tasty and wholesome food during the day.

Dine in or take away, Monday to Friday 7am - 4pm.
