Rita and Roy House were married at El Nathan Gospel Hall in Smithton 70 years ago on November 14, 1953. The now 90-year-olds recently celebrated this amazing milestone with their family and friends including all seven of their children and spouses, as well as many of their 20 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. Family travelled from all over Australia to enjoy the celebrations.

Rita and Roy first met at a church conference in Smithton when they were teenagers. They went for a walk together but were soon brought back by a church elder that thought they might have been getting up to mischief.
