Originally from Brisbane, Mr Scott would come to the Apple Isle during the summer months before making the move permanently.

“I absolutely love the place, such good people. The two main compliments I said about Tasmania is the people, and the food. You will not get a better steak than at the Stanley Hotel. Like Julian (hotel owner), he provides good food, good beer and great service, we provide good painting and great service.”

Painting on Time is currently undertaking the task of giving the Stanley Hotel its first exterior face lift in 20 years. Tracey Jacobs from the Stanley Hotel said, “Painting on Time is very specialized in what they do, Ray is very passionate about what he does, they’re very professional, their work vehicles are all well-presented and they’re always in uniform.

“The really high parts of the hotel need a specialist professional painter and we saw Ray doing other work around Stanley at the time, and because he specialises in very high, elevated work, we have local painters we normally use but we needed Ray’s expertise at height.
